RETAIL CASE STUDY
Force Entertainment Centre
The Force Entertainment centre was constructed in Auckland on Queen Street and the destination for Cinema goers. It consisted of serval large screen format Cinemas with public areas and a food court on the ground floor which contained six outlets.
The company was employed by the operators of four of those outlets to Design and Build the outlets to meet the requirements of the centre’s owners.
Espresso Café, HotWoks, Pizza Planet and Pronto were completed with a full turnkey service. Working closely with both the owners and the management operating the facility, preliminary designs were submitted for approval by all stakeholders before detailed design was completed. Building consent, and construction management was then undertaken within a very short period to meet tight timeframes for opening.
The full turnkey design and build nature of the projects meant that the outlets could be completed in a short period of time and to a set budget.
Full accountability rested wholly with the company during all the required phases and the communication between the complex management and the operators was key to alleviate any issue on the way through the process. The close collaboration with the design and construction team being one entity meant that considerable time and cost savings were made.
Retail design and fitout is a complex process with limitations being enforced during all stages of a project. To explain in greater detail the processes of the successful projects completed above, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss.
